Thursday, February 9, 6:30pm
FREE registration appreciated

Come learn about another of Amherst’s claims to fame – the spotted salamander tunnels under Henry Street. Ted will detail the finely-tuned life history of this creature along with some of the amazing adaptations exhibited by the salamanders. Ted will also describe the history of the first amphibian tunnels in North America and how they came to be located in our town. He will finish the evening by providing ways you can be helpful to these creatures, both on Henry Street or at your favorite road crossing.
