SUMMARY:Homeschool II: Community Science
DESCRIPTION:With Jeff Mazur\nGrades 4-6\, Ages 9-12 \nTuesdays 10:00am – 2:00 pm \nSeptember 13 -December 13 (No program September 27\, October 18\, and November 22 for Discovery Days and November 8 for Curriculum Day) \nTier A:$747 Tier B:$649 Tier C:$552 Tier D:$422 \nCalling all future scientists! Community scientists are people — young or old — who help collect data for research projects conducted around the world. We will work with local researchers and on national science projects collecting data that matters! Areas that we will investigate include – Climate change’s impact on when leaves fall? Monarch migration? What is living in our streams and more! Bring your scientific mind\, observation skills and unique perspective to our class. SUMMARY:Homeschool II: Connections - Where Does it Come From?
DESCRIPTION:In such a product oriented society\, it is easy to lose connection with how things are made and the origins of our resources. While researching the path of product production we are able to see first hand the energy that goes into making each product.
