2021 Nature Summer Camp Session 1

Hi Hitchcock Summer Camp Families!

Our first session of camp, Nature’s Superheroes, was a huge success! It was so great to see the different outdoor play spaces and trails full of children again. We geared up for our all outdoor camp with new outdoor classroom spaces that were developed in response to COVID. They have been so successful, I am sure that we will continue to use them for future summers. There was a lot of fun to be had during the week. We were able to beat the heat and ride out the thunderstorms, having fun adventures along the way. Some highlights including meadow sweeping, Wild Child of the Woods, visits with our turtle Ivy, and for the Nature Explorer’s — a hike beyond the “Far Away Woods” to Flayvors. Along the way we also learned about the amazing adaptations that plants and animals have, and most importantly, got to share in being back together again at camp!
