Make a Gift!

Since closing the doors to the Hitchcock Center in March due to the pandemic, we have adapted our programming to offer safe in-person and virtual environmental and outdoor learning programs. Our award-winning programs, which foster environmental stewardship and understanding, also improve social, academic, physical and psychological health, especially in young children.

Today, we are uniquely positioned to assist our community during these challenging times. You can help

The Hitchcock Center continues to experience a dramatic reduction in revenue as a result of the COVID-19 virus. We have had to limit the class size of our in-person programs and cancel essential fundraising events. Despite this, we are working hard to pivot our programs to meet the critical educational and social-emotional needs of our community through: new outdoor programming, one of the safest learning environments during this pandemic; engaging, fun and interactive pre-K–6 virtual programs to improve learning outcomes for students; and professional development programs to strengthen teacher practice in using the outdoors for nature-based STEM education.

And while we are experiencing financial difficulty, we know many others are as well. We have launched a new sliding-scale fee structure that provides discounts of 25%–50% of the actual program cost, in order to be responsive to households who are economically stressed and low-income.

By making a donation you provide critical support for the Hitchcock Center’s mission to educate and to inspire action for a healthy planet. Thank you!
