Hitchcock Center for the Environment COVID-19 Public Statement
Please check this page for future updates.
March 13, 2020
Dear Hitchcock Center Community,
With the current public health crisis in mind, keeping our staff, volunteers, visitors and program participants safe is a top concern. As of today, March 13, 2020, we will be closing the Hitchcock Center and discontinuing all public programs, events, and in-person meetings through Sunday, April 5, 2020. We will be re-evaluating our plans to reopen at that time.
We will be processing refunds by April 14th for all programs that we have cancelled during this period, on a pro-rated basis, due to COVID-19 precautionary measures. Refunds will begin after April 5th when we have re-evaluated whether we can resume programming. Knowing that the Hitchcock Center will incur financial hardship, please consider receiving a credit for future programming or donating a portion of your program refund back to the Hitchcock Center.
We will remain in contact with our local and state public health departments to inform our decision to re-open after April 5th.
We wish we could be more of a support network for you during this time of uncertainty and social distancing. From all of us at the Hitchcock Center, we encourage you to continue to connect to our natural world as a way to stay physically and spiritually healthy during this time.
If you have any questions about this announcement, please do not hesitate to contact Julie Johnson at (413) 256-6006 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
With warm regards,
Julie Johnson, Executive Director
