Explore Trees of the Connecticut River Flood Plain

Sunday, December 11, 2016—10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$20 – $25

at Bennett Meadows Wildlife Management Area in Northfield
with Ted Watt
Sunday, December 11, 10am- 12pm

Bennett Meadows is a mixed-use parcel located along the west shore of the Connecticut River. A portion of the property is devoted to raising field corn, but there are interesting wetlands and a diverse remnant of flood plain forest along the Connecticut River bank. We’ll proceed at a leisurely pace, observing and discussing as we go. Dress for the cold and bring binoculars if you have them. Walking will be off trail on level ground with a bit of clambering over and under. Members $20/Non-members $25
